The laptop will not charge the battery. When
the battery power runs out the computer stops working. We repair or
replace power sockets where the power pin has broken or has become
disconnected from the motherboard. In some cases the power connector

LCD Backlight & inverters
The laptop switches on but the screen
remains dark. In some cases a faint image is visible on the Satellite M30 M30X M40 M40X M50 M60 M70 M100
screen. This problem can be caused by a faulty Satellite M30 M30X M40 M40X M50 M60 M70 M100 fluorescent light,
inverter, video cable or a problem on the motherboard. Specialist
tools are required to determine the exact cause of the fault.
Backlights use very high voltages and it is easy to cause damage to
the system if they are not correctly handled and installed. Our

99% of cases a failed bios update will make the computer totally unusable
so take a backup of your software and data too. Make sure that you
have a good connection to your mains adapter and that the battery is

finish, even if it seems stuck and takes a long time.
