The laptop will not charge the battery. When
the battery power runs out the computer stops working. We repair or
replace power sockets where the power pin has broken or has become
disconnected from the motherboard. In some cases the power connector
makes a poor connection with the Vaio Ar51j jack. This causes arcing
which can generate enough heat to melt the Vaio Ar51j dc jack and the
power pin may become lose. It is best to get the Sony power socket repair before the battery is totally depleted as this can cause permanent
damage to the battery.If you get a electrical burning smell from near the power connector then disconnect the adapter immediately. The arcing is burning away the motherboard.
