Q. Why do you offer a NO FIX - NO FEE service when most other companies charge for
checking the laptop and engineer time even
when they can't repair the laptop or the parts are too expensive?
A. We are confident that
our expert engineers will repair most of the computers we receive at the
quoted price. We give you an honest and realistic quote before you send us
the laptop. We try to prevent uneconomical and impossible repairs
being sent to us - this saves you time and carriage costs.
Q. What is the postage for sending back the computer?
A. We charge £18 delivery/insurance for laptops being returned to a
UK mainland address. We use CityLink Next Day service. You can also arrange for collections from our premises
and only pay your own courier service.
Q. Some companies try to sell you a replacement laptop because they make
bigger profits on sales than on repairs. Will you try to sell me a laptop?
A. We don't sell any laptops, so there is no
conflict of interest. We understand that moving to a different laptop can
be a big inconvenience and very time consuming. Most users prefer to have their existing laptop, with all their favourite software and
data, fixed. Most new laptops are now sold with Windows 7 or Vista
and users may need more time to learn the new operating system. Your much loved old
camera, scanner, printer or webcam might need new Windows 7 drivers. Some
manufacturers have no plans to create Windows 7drivers for older hardware. They see it as a waste of their resources.
Q. Do you have a workshop in Notting Hill?
A. We are based in Harrow (North London), but we do service laptops and supply spare parts for customers all over the UK including
Notting Hill.

mail. The average cost of sending a laptop to us using the post is £18
for next day delivery with insurance.
Don't pay for an expensive motherboard. Most motherboard problems on Packard Bell, Netbooks and Sony laptops can be repaired. There are very few cases where a motherboard is unrepairable.
