The laptop will not charge the battery. When the battery power runs out the computer stops working. We repair or replace power sockets where the power pin has broken or has become disconnected from the motherboard. In some cases the power connector makes a poor connection with the Nx7300 Nx9000 Nx9010 Nx5000 jack. This causes arcing which can generate enough heat to melt the Nx7300 Nx9000 Nx9010 Nx5000 dc jack and the power pin may become lose. Most customers send us their laptops by mail. The average cost of sending a laptop to us using the post is £18 for next day delivery with insurance.

All laptops have a hinge joint between the screen and the keyboard part of the laptop. Some hinges routinely fail - eg the dell Inspiron and the Compaq Presario. Other hinges can be damaged by dropping the laptop. Some manufactures refuse to sell the hinges and insist that the hinge is an integral part of the screen and as such the whole screen should be replaced. We can usually supply working hinges from new and used machines we break up for spare parts.
