Video / VGA problems can be caused by a worn video cable. Every time the screen lid is closed and openned on your Toshiba laptop, the flexible cable is twisted by 90 degrees. over a long period of time, this causes the wires within the video cable to weaken and then break. Yor may see one of the colours missing on the screen or sync problems. If the touchpad doesn’t work, do the following actions one at a time to correct the problem. After rebooting, run Tracking Pad PS2 Mode Driver. For example, run Syn touch driver. Run utility with the PS/2 mouse function and check if the mouse is working. The CMOS battery in most Toshiba laptops last about two years. If the voltage on the battery drops below 3V, the machine will start losing time/date and CMOS settings. To get the Netbooks system out of standby mode you need to press and release the power on button. Most Fujitsu laptops work with a screen resolution of 1024x768.
