Q. What is the time scale for repairs?

A. It really depends on the exact nature of the fault. Most backlights, keyboards, LCDs and broken power socket pins can be repaired in 1-2 days, when parts are in stock, otherwise 4-5 days. Video and motherboard faults usually take 2-5 days because extensive testing is required after repairs. Same day repairs need to be prearranged to ensure that engineer time and parts are allocated for the job - please call.

Memory Test Error. Extend SDRAM is failure or system hangs up. If your system installed with expansion SO-DIMM module then check them for proper installation. Make sure that your SO-DIMM sockets are OK. Try other known good SO-DIMM modules. Your system host bus clock running at 266MHZ then make sure that SO-DIMM module meet require of PC 266. Most LCD/TFT screens are damaged by impact. Dropping the Sony laptop or stepping on them causes the glass in the screens to crack. One customer reported that his cat tried to attack the fish on his wallpaper and cracked the screen. Shutting the Greenwich lid of the laptop with a pen on the keyboard will also destroy your screen. The Toshiba liquid then escapes into other layers of the panel. If you see cracks on the screen with a rainbow effect, your screen is a write off. It will need to be replaced with an identical unit. It is very rare to find Greenwich compatibility between screen and in most cases only an identical replacement will work. Connecting a non-compatible may damage the Greenwich motherboard or the new screen. Blemishes may appear on your LCD screen. These can be caused be excessive pressure on parts of the screen.
