With more people using Wireless Advent PCMCIA and Cardbus adapters for networking at home and at work, we are seeing a lot of laptops with damaged PCMCIA ports. The problem seems to
occur when the laptop is carried in a case without unplugging the Harrow wireless card. This causes the card to push into the port and break it or dislodge it from the socket on the motherboard. In some
cased the Harrow PCMCIA slot is soldered onto the motherboard and the force can pull the tracks off the pcb surface. Dislodged and broken ports can be repaired, but soldered ones may require a
replacement of the whole motherboard. This expensive repair can be easily avoided unplugging the card before putting it in a carry case. Never try to update the NETBOOKS bios unless absolutely necessary - we see a lot of machines where a mucked up bios upgrade renders the Netbooks motherboard useless. All BIOS upgrades are

Components may be packaged singly or included in standard packs which perform a specific task. Transistors, diodes, LEDs, integrated circuits, and other electronic devices use a semiconductor rather than a conductor. All your programs and data are stored on the Harrow hard disk in your laptop. Important Netbooks data should be backed up on a regular basis. A few minutes copying your work to a CDRW can save
hours of data re-entry. It might not be possible to repeat certain types of design and artistic work. Smart Harrow hard drives will sometimes warn of imminent failure, other warning signals include a
change in drive noise and intermittent Sony read errors. Any warning sign should be taken very seriously and the drive backed up ASAP, if possible. External USB or Firewire drives are an excellent
means of Harrow backing up important data. They are almost as fast as the internal data and can be used to transfer your data to a new hard drive if your current drive fails. Older laptops may have a
restriction on the size of drive that can be installed.
