bios or intro screen. Graphics are distorted, blocked or pixilated.
In some cases the system refuses to boot. Strange effects when
windows or mouse are moved on the screen. All these effects can be

Power Jack Pin or Socket
The laptop will not charge the battery. When
the battery power runs out the computer stops working. We repair or
replace power sockets where the power pin has broken or has become
disconnected from the motherboard. In some cases the power connector
makes a poor connection with the Inspiron 510m jack. This causes arcing
which can generate enough heat to melt the Inspiron 510m dc jack and the
power pin may become lose. It is best to get the Dell power socket repair before the battery is totally depleted as this can cause permanent
damage to the battery.

LCD Backlight & inverters
The laptop switches on but the screen
remains dark. In some cases a faint image is visible on the Inspiron 510m
screen. This problem can be caused by a faulty Inspiron 510m fluorescent light,
inverter, video cable or a problem on the motherboard. Specialist
tools are required to determine the exact cause of the fault.
Backlights use very high voltages and it is easy to cause damage to
the system if they are not correctly handled and installed. Our

fully charged. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER interrupt a BIOS update. Let it
finish, even if it seems stuck and takes a long time.
