Q. How can you offer a NO FIX - NO FEE service when most companies charge for running diagnostics and engineer time even when they can't repair the laptop or the parts are too expensive?

A. Our aim is to only profit from successful repairs. We are confident that our expert engineers will repair 95% of the laptops we receive at the quoted price. We give you an honest and realistic quote before you send us the laptop. We actively discourage uneconomical and impossible repairs being sent to us - this saves you time and carriage costs. 

Q. What happens if the cost of repair is higher than the phone quote?

A. There are a few cases where a laptop has suffered more damage than the initial diagnosis would suggest. The engineer will call you with his findings and provide you with a revised quote. You have the right to decline the repair. If you collect your laptop from our premises there is absolutely NO CHARGE.

Q. What is the delivery charge for returning the laptop?

A. We charge £10 delivery/insurance for laptops being returned to a UK mainland address. You can also arrange for collections from our premises and only pay your own courier service. 

Q. Some companies try to sell you a replacement laptop because they make bigger profits on sales than on repairs. Do you sell laptops? 

A. We are a repair company 100% - we don't sell any laptops, so there is no conflict of interest. We understand that moving to a different laptop can be a big inconvenience and very time consuming. Most users prefer to have their existing laptop, with all their favourite software and data, fixed. Most new laptops are now sold with Vista and users may need more time to learn the new operating system. Your old camera, scanner, printer or webcam might need new Vista drivers. Some manufacturers have no plans to create Vista drivers for older hardware.

Q. What is the time scale for repairs?

A. It really depends on the exact nature of the fault. Most backlights, keyboards, LCDs and broken power socket pins can be repaired in 1-2 days, when parts are in stock, otherwise 4-5 days. Video and motherboard faults usually take 2-5 days because extensive testing is required after repairs. Same day repairs need to be prearranged to ensure that engineer time and parts are allocated for the job - please call.

Q. What happens if my computer develops the same fault during the 60 day warranty period.

A. We have a very low returns rate, about 1 in 70 repairs. With all complex electronics there is a small chance that a fault may recur. We aim to give all warranty jobs top priority and fix the fault quickly. We also reimburse the postage for warranty returns. If the fault can't be repaired then a FULL REFUND will be given for the initial repair and the laptop returned to you. 

Q. Do you have a workshop in Dagenham?

A. We are based in Harrow Middlesex (North London), but we do service laptops and supply spare parts for customers all over the UK including Dagenham.

Any attempt to start or boot a system from this disk transfers the virus to the hard disk, after which it subsequently is loaded each time the system is started. Many older PC viruses, particularly those spread by contaminated floppy disks, are boot sector viruses. Memory Test Error. Extend SDRAM is failure or system hangs up. If your system installed with expansion SO-DIMM module then check them for proper installation. Make sure that your SO-DIMM sockets are OK. Try other known good SO-DIMM modules. Your system host bus clock running at 266MHZ then make sure that SO-DIMM module meet require of PC 266.

Disconnect the modem of your Compaq laptop from the phone line when not in use. There are two major risks with leaving modems connected.
